about the 90th anniversary of the battles of Messines, Wytschaete and
Passchendaele that took place during WW1 in Belgium. The History page provides
an overview of the involvement of the 2/Leinsters and the 7/Leinsters in the
battle of Messines.
The anniversary is being commemorated in a joint effort coordinated by the
three communities of Zonnebeke, Heuvalland and Messines that are situated on the
West Flemish ridge in Belgium.
The events that primarily involved the Irish Divisions are associated with
the Battle of Messines and Wytschaete and a
