Commandant Michael McGoona.

Commandant Michael McGoona (late Irish Defence Force) has  been appointed Vice-Chairman of the Prince of Wales's (Royal Canadians) Leinster Regiment Association with effect from 8th February 2006.

A staunch supporter of the Association since its relaunch, Michael McGoona is well respected for his extensive knowledge of the history of the Regiment and his assistance to relatives of the Regiment's soldiers.

A past mayor of Navan, Co. Meath, where he continues to reside, Michael brings localised support to committee members Noel Cullen (Dublin), Séan Cooke (Birr & Crinkill) in the project that has been established to provide a lasting memorial, at the gates of the former barracks at Crinkill, to all who served in the Regiment.
